Sal A. Capobianco, P.E., is the president and founder of Capobianco & Associates, a consulting engineering firm headquartered in Boston, MA.
Prior to forming Capobianco & Associates, Mr. Capobianco served from 1986 - 2005 as a Vice President with Fay, Spofford and Thorndike, LLC, a multi discipline-engineering firm located in Burlington, MA.
As Vice President, he managed large multi-discipline projects with single project construction values of over $100 million dollars.
During his career, Mr. Capobianco has managed many large public project projects, such as the Fort Devens Job Corps in Devens, MA, and many Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity projects for the Corps of Engineers.
Mr. Capobianco has also managed several types of contract delivery systems, including conventional design-bid-build, construction manager at risk and design-build projects.
Mr. Capobianco also serves as an Adjunct Instructor at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell in the College of Engineering. His area of expertise is structural and civil engineering.
Mr. Capobianco holds both a Master of Science Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering.
